It’s Coral! PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral to be exact.
I am not sure how many years I’ve been waiting for this to be the color of the year. It’s bright, fun and just the right mix of red, pink, and orange. It’s a color that is already widely popular in our culture, but now that it has been announced as the Pantone color of the year, we will begin to see it in many more e-commerce forms such as clothing, home goods, and make-up.
20 Years of Color
Pantone has been announcing the color of the year for 20 years now and I had the privilege of listening to a talk from Leatrice Eiseman at SXSW as she explained how they choose the color of the year and who gets an inside look months in advance so they can have products in that color ready at the beginning of the year.
